Ashley Dunn, MPH (she/her/hers)

Area of Expertise: Program Design and Evaluation, Community Partnership Building

With a focus on strategy and programmatic development, Ashley advances the translation of biomedical discoveries into interventions that improve health for mission-oriented organizations. As a collaborative team member, she works closely with stakeholders to design and evaluate innovative approaches to deliver programs that provide measurable and impactful outcomes. As the Senior Manager for Strategy and Partnerships for the Stanford Program on Research Rigor and Reproducibility, Ashley leads ongoing outreach and collaboration with researchers, faculty, students, and staff. Promoting research rigor and reproducibility principles, Ashley supports education, training, and the development of tools and resources for Stanford’s research community to ensure high-quality research.

Passionate about impactful solutions for increasing diversity in clinical trials and across the clinical translational research workforce, Ashley drives strategic initiatives at the Office of the Senior Associate Dean for Research. Working with senior leadership, she advances the diversity and inclusion of research participants in clinical trials conducted at Stanford University.

Ashley serves on the Alumni Board of Directors for Santa Clara University (SCU) and on the External Advisory Board for SCU’s LEAD Scholars Program. She also serves as the Co-President for the Black Alumni Chapter for SCU. Ashley received her Bachelor of Science degree from SCU and a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in Health Education and Promotion from the University of Southern California. She is currently completing a Ph.D. in Translational Health Sciences at the George Washington University.

Zainab Shipchandler, MPH, MCHES (she/her/hers)

Area of Expertise: Health Literacy, Maternal and Child Health, Qualitative data analysis

Zainab Shipchandler, MPH, MCHES is a Public Health Consultant at ZRF Group Inc. Her company partners with healthcare and community-based organizations to promote health literacy and public health best practices through research, training, and strategic planning. Zainab’s projects include collaborating with Smith Research & Consulting LLC and the Center for Urban Transformation to conduct a mixed-methods community-driven health assessment for the Fifth Ward in Houston. Zainab is interested in developing connections across sectors and utilizing data-driven approaches to advance health equity for minority populations. She holds an MPH degree in Health Promotion from the University of Texas School of Public Health and a BA in Asian Studies from Rice University.

Eloise-Emmanuella Taha (she/her/hers)

Area of Expertise: Community-Engaged Research, Qualitative Research

Eloise-Emmanuella Taha is a graduate student at the University of Houston studying to get her MS in Biology with a Graduate Certificate in Biomedical Sciences. She recently conducted a food insecurity landscape analysis of Houston’s Third Ward. Eloise aspires to work in underserved communities as a physician with specific interests in obstetrics and gynecology. She also has interests in nutrition and the role diet plays in mitigating adverse health outcomes. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BSA in Neuroscience and a BA in African and African Diaspora Studies.
