The Arizona State University Partnership for Community Development was commissioned by the Valley of the Sun United Way to conduct a community scan in the Balsz Elementary School District. Utilizing an asset-based community development model for conducting the scan, the research team sought to realistically identify community challenges and opportunities as seen by the community.

We outline the various forms of crowdsourcing, economic and community resilience, crowdsourcing and economic resilience, and a case study of the Nepal earthquake. his article presents an exploratory perspective on the link that can be found between crowdsourcing and economic resilience.

As with most social problems, they have multiple dimensions and multiple implications for inaction. Homelessness among youth has been shown to damage the broader community by denying it the contributions of a healthy, educated and productive population and imposing long-running costs for public services required to deal with crime, mental illness, substance abuse and other ills. We investigated trends in funding for housing for homeless youth and if it is of benefit to both the youth and the broader community?
